BUG+Maker Faire Bay Area 2008

May 2nd, 2008

If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend (May 3 and 4), Maker Faire Bay Area 2008 is taking place at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. For those who are new to Maker Faire, it is best described as a weekend of unbridled creation and exploration of all things hackable - whether mechanical, electrical, or other. From creating music with tesla coils to aptly titled danger machines, the event celebrates the unabashed spirit of DIY and, for lack of a better word, "making" things - in other words, the perfect event for Bug Labs.

In addition to checking out many of the great exhibits and installations, the Bug Labs team will be showcasing the BUG at its indoor space, located next to the Maker Made Stage in the Expo Hall (map). We invite you to stop by, bring your laptops and soldering irons, hack with the BUG, and win some cool schwag too! Also, Ken Gilmer, Bug Labs' head of development, will be discussing "Reinventing Building Blocks" on Saturday between 12:00pm and 12:30pm at the Maker Made Stage.

For those who can't make it, you can follow us on Twitter and occasionally check in on our UStream channel to keep up with the action.

Hope to see you there!
